When did you first develop an interest in fashion blogging?
I decided to start a tumblr account last year, after completing my 'A' levels and I used it to store all sorts of inspirational images and videos. As I started getting more followers, I thought using text to accompany the images would be more interesting. Eventually I stumbled into fashion blogging and set up my first full fledged fashion blog in November 2010.

It was also very much inspired by various blogs and especially by Susie from Style Bubble - a blog that I have always loved reading.

Fashion blogging is way for me to keep in touch with the fashion industry, since I did not get to pursue fashion in university (I'm studying Linguistics in NTU instead).

What is the worst or some of the worst fashion disasters you have come across?
My biggest fashion pet peeve has to be when women treat leggings/tights as pants. It is just awful when they do not pair it with long tunics to cover up.

Who are your favourite designers?
Plenty! But here are a few,

International: Alexander McQueen, Matteo Mollinari, Erdem, Proenza Schouler, John Galliano, Elie Saab

Regional/Local: Max Tan, Young and Restless, eve, Noël Caleb, WANDERWONDER, Elohim

What are you most looking forward to in the Asia Fashion Exchange 2011?
I'm looking forward to all the pillar events definitely and most importantly meeting people and having lots of fun! It's all in the name of fashion.

At the end of the day, I look forward to learning something new every day.

When did you first develop an interest in fashion blogging?
I have been interested in fashion since I was 11. I used to borrow my mom's fashion magazines and read them in school. Following which, I would dream about being in certain designer clothes, sitting in the front row next to Anna (both Wintour and Della Russo), Grace, Suzy Menkes, Hamish Bowles, Carine Roitfeld, Franca and etc.

I discovered the blog era when I was 13. After my trip to Sydney last year, I wanted to start blogging about something different and so, ended up buying domain names and etc. for my site hisyamkhalid.com.

What is the worst or some of the worst fashion disasters you have come across?
The worst fashion disaster occurred when John Galliano was fired from Dior due to his anti-Semitic remarks. It's sad. No one can replace his haute couture designs. You should see for yourself in the Spring Summer 2004/2005. It's mind blowing! Also, I personally think that Paris fashion is currently experiencing an era of change.

Who are your favourite designers?
I have so many favourites. My top five will be Karl Lagerfeld, Miuccia Prada, Marc Jacobs, Prabal Gurung, and Alber Elbaz.

Is this your first time in Singapore?
This is obviously not my first time in Singapore. I often commute here to buy designer goods (actually not that often). Haha. I love Orchard so much! Every retail store is available here from high end to fast fashion. I'm looking forward to be in Singapore again.

What are you most looking forward to in the Asia Fashion Exchange 2011?
I'm looking forward to Francis Cheong's Couture show as I've seen other shows like Ungaro, Missioni, Erdem, Antonio Berardi through live streaming. I can't wait to be there, watching the shows and feeling the art.

When did you first develop an interest in fashion blogging?
I have had an interest in fashion since I was young and I loved to create my own outfits. Thereafter, I got more inspiration when I joined the big fashion event in my country, Thailand. That experience has given me more knowledge about fashion and I want to share my own passion and style. It inspired me to create my own blog three years ago and I have not looked back since.

What is the worst or some of the worst fashion disasters you have come across?
In my perception, I think the worst fashion disaster is when people follow trends and fashion but they forget about being themselves. I want to tell people who love style that it is unique and creative - an original expression of oneself. Fashion is for people without style. If you have a style, keep with it. Being yourself - that's cool.

Who are your favorite designers?
My favourite designer is Alexander McQueen because he was the most creative and unique designer and he always gave me the inspiration to be myself. His works show me intention and creativity. I can feel it. His fashion shows were not only about the "model and the runway". Rather, they were art performances where he expressed himself for all to see.

Is this your first time in Singapore?
Yes, this is my first time in Singapore. I'm so excited to visit the sunshine island. It's going to be an amazing trip for me.

What are you most looking forward to in the Asia Fashion Exchange 2011?
I'm looking forward to see the new perception on the Asian fashion like how we are right now? I am expecting to see Asia's potential and intention. I'm going to express myself and share my own views as well!

When did you first develop an interest in fashion blogging?
Almost a year ago on June 20, 2010, my friends encouraged me to create a fashion blog. It was coincidentally also a requirement for a job application. At first, I didn't think I was capable enough to make one but my friends pushed me, and voila! I've fallen in love with fashion blogging!

What is the worst or some of the worst fashion disasters you have come across?
Someone I knew wore comic print dresses and hula hoops ear rings. For me, that is bad fashion sense. But a combination of both, total disaster!

Who are your favorite designers?
I'm a huge fan of Alexander McQueen and Karl Lagerfeld. They are my primary inspirations! And I'm eyeing Indonesian fashion designers such as KLE, Danjyo + Hiyoji, and STAB.

Is this your first time in Singapore?
Yes! It's my first time travelling to Singapore. I'm really excited!

What are you most looking forward to in the Asia Fashion Exchange 2011?
Everything in Asia Fashion Exchange 2011!! I have chance to be part of it and I will not miss even a second of it.
