10 Asian fashion and beauty brands conquering the world
Text: Denise Ngo
In June, cult Hong Kong multi-label retail company I.T Group will launch Southeast Asia’s first i.t flagship store, located in none other than Singapore’s Wisma Atria mall. The store will carry nine street style brands new to Singapore, including izzue, b + a b, 5cm, tout à coup, fingercroxx, Venilla suite, as know as de base, mysty woman, and Pageboy.
I.T Group, which has already made headway in China, Hong Kong, Japan, Macau, Taiwan, Canada, Thailand, the Philippines, and France, is only one of many Asian fashion companies giving their Western counterparts – which have long dominated the global markets – a run for their money. The recent success of Korean-made BB creams and labels like UNIQLO have also paved the way for smaller labels to conquer the rest of Asia, and eventually, the world.
