In an exclusive interview with xinmsn, infotainment program Style: Check-In host Zhou Ying talked about how simple is key when it comes to fashion. Now that she has been in the industry for more than three years, she is gradually picking up tips from her stylists. Having learned the importance of tweaking her dressing to flatter her body shape, the 27-year-old now hopes to show her personality through style.
"Heels were never in my shopping list [before joining showbiz]!" The budding artiste from Shanghai giggled as she confessed that she is no fashion guru.
Admitting that 'sexy' is not her thing, Zhou Ying prefers dressing down comfortably in t-shirts, jeans and flats on casual days. The down-to-earth artiste wants to 'be herself' and tries to incorporate her straightforward and unpretentious personality into her style off-camera. Even during the Star Awards, she refused to show cleavage and made special request to the stylists for a get-up that 'fits' her.
As a fan of Western trends, Zhou Ying cites Keira Knightley and Natalie Portman as her fashion muses. She admires their ability to look effortlessly good even on celebrity street style photos.
