Sorry designers, we love fashion, but we've got Halloween on our minds
We know you’re supposed to think all types of “fashion-y” thoughts while watching a runway show, like “streamlined silhouettes,” “floral motifs,” and “stunning craftsmanship,” but only one image came to mind while reviewing the collections at FIDé Fashion Week: Halloween. And this year’s haute couture collections were so theatrical that if anyone showed up at our door wearing these outfits, we’d offer them all our candy before they could say, “trick or treat.”
Not that that’s a bad thing. Since everyone and their mother will dress like Miley Cyrus, a “Despicable Me” minion, or a 1920’s-inspired flapper this year, it’s high time we were inspired by something more original.
