10 skincare tips for jetsetters

If you’ve ever watched one of those beauty talk shows from Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan, you’ll know the lengths that people go to achieve the perfect skincare regimen. We’ve heard people recommend getting monthly facials worth a third of our paycheck, while others recommend 12-step routines that would require getting out bed at least an hour early. While we admit to being fascinated about the exact functions of hyaluronic acid essence and emulsifiers, as well as the practice of dabbing your face with a cotton pad soaked in toner 40 times in a row before sleeping, these routines are just not realistic for women who have adopted a jet-setting lifestyle.
Traveling around the world year-round sounds pretty romantic, but it can wreak havoc on your skin if you don’t take care of yourself. In between the pressurized air in long-haul flights, the stress of adjusting your sleeping schedule, and simply adjusting to an unfamiliar environment, your complexion is at high risk for a breakout when you go overseas.
So what’s a high-flying girl to do? We asked Sabrina Tan, founder and CEO of serum company Skin Inc., for insight on how she maintains her complexion despite traveling year-round on business.
