7. Be picky about ingredients

As the founder of a company specializing in customizable serums, Sabrina’s an expert in skincare formulas. When we asked her what ingredients she would mix into a serum for long-haul flights, she had plenty of insights to offer.

“If it’s a cold country, mix in some ceramides to reinforce skin. If skin feels sensitive, add licorice to soothe. But always make sure you have hyaluronic acid handy, it prevents the weather changes from sapping moisture from your skin.”

“I tend to have cold rash and my eczema flairs up especially when I’m travelling to countries with cold climates,” she said, while recommending three items to bring in one’s carry on: a serum travel kit, a hydrating mask, and a hyaluronic acid-rich mist. “And because my skin is sensitive, I stay away from products with artificial scents and parabens.”
