There two kinds of people in this world: those who look good in photos, and those who don’t. And thanks to Instagram, Facebook, and the rise of selfies, the difference is more apparent than ever. This has nothing to do with looks. As paparazzi shots show, even the most gorgeous celebrities have bad angles. So whether you’re tall, short, fat, skinny, pimple-faced or weak-chinned, there are plenty of tricks available to ensure that the camera captures you at your best.

But looking poised (versus simply looking posed) is harder than it sounds. So when we met the three finalists of SuperModelMe Femme Fatale 4 last Friday, we pounced on the opportunity for an impromptu tutorial. After all, they’ve made careers out of looking photogenic. How do you angle your face for the camera? What should you do with your hands during full-body shots? How do you exude confidence, sexiness, or a sense of mystery without overdoing it?

Read on to see the three finalists, Katherine Rigby (Kay), Ying Liu, and Sasha Quahe demonstrate how (and how NOT) to pose for maximum attractiveness.
