Fashion season rolls around once again, as the tents outside Ngee Ann City played host to one of Singapore’s glamourous fashion weeks in the Orchard Road shopping district. Audi Fashion Festival showcased designs for the fall-winter 2014 season from greats such as Singapore-born Prabal Guring to Singapore fave SATURDAY.
As with many fall-winter showings, nothing really appeals to the sort of practicality the average Singaporean has when it comes to dressing up in the sweltering heat and erratic weather. How practical can a fur coat be in temperatures above 30 degrees?
Fortunately, we spotted these 10 trends from the fall-winter season that won’t make you break a sweat and still make others slightly jealous of your impeccable style sense when you traverse the Central Business District. You can thank us later.
Fur is definitely out of the question but this coming season brings back a ton of texture. Ostrich feathers are an easy trend to introduce into your wardrobe and instantly jazz up any outfit. Since our weather won’t permit a feather coat, how about swop a boring pencil skirt for one of these gorgeous babies as seen on the Farah Khan show? Remember to keep the silhouette clean – that means no peplum tops on this option.
