5 questions with … Net-A-Porter's Holli Rogers

Holli Rogers

Holli Rogers: Black jacket's always a must.

Besides curating the products that online luxury shopping site Net-A-Porter offers every season, fashion director, Holli Rogers is, surprisingly, not tempted to own every piece on the site she oversees.

"(Laughs) If I did, I would have to have a much bigger house. Not everything is my personal style, and from a personal standpoint, I don't want everything," said the affable lady, who described her style as "pretty easy ... kinda casual but kinda edgy". With the holiday season upon us, we buzzed Rogers on her recommendations for festive gift giving.

What are some of the recommended items we should look out for on Net-A-Porter this festive season?

Holli Rogers: We've got this great collection of exclusive Christmas sweaters. It's the second year we've done (this) and we've worked with lots of different designers.
Everybody's designed a great motif, kind of a fun Christmas jumper, which would be a great gift.

We've really expanded our book offer this season. We've got some incredible art books and some incredible fashion (related) books - we just launched Kate: The Kate Moss Book. Then we've got an incredible selection of wallets, lots of iPad and iPhone cases which do really well and cute versions from Marc Jacobs.

We sell (The Sartorialist's) books on the site and he was talking about (how) it'd be great that people can (access) the photos that are in the book. We've got six images from the book - those six prints on the site and they are only £25 (S$49) each. (It's all about) giving something a little bit different that people can't get anywhere else.

We know that you have a weakness for shoes. Which is your favourite pair at the moment?

Some (Christian) Louboutins that I have that are clear, with a neon yellowy green cap toe. I love them.
