Model/actress Molly Sims is a true style maven, being a red carpet favourite and designer of her own jewellery line that all started with her mum.
"I started wearing a lot of (my mum's) vintage jewellery pieces a couple of years ago on the red carpet and I got a lot of people saying how much they loved it. So, I decided to try to (design my own line)," the new mother said.
She named her line Grayce after her mother's life motto to be graceful and grateful. It seems then, that it was a natural career progression when Hollywood bigwig Harvey Weinstein and talent agent Ari Emanuel approached her to host Project Accessory -- a spin-off of the popular TV series Project Runway -- where, you guessed it, accessories take front row.
So what has the transition been like from acting to hosting a reality show?
Molly Sims: You know I think I did it the other way around. When I started modelling, that led to an opportunity with MTV called House Of Style. After that, I hosted the American Music Awards and a few other things. So, I actually started acting with Las Vegas and other shows after modelling and hosting. There is so much momentum when you're up there and in front of people and it's live. It's a little scary because you have to really be on your feet and you have to kind of think of what you're going to say but I thought the show was fantastic and we had a lot of fun shooting it.
What are the rules of thumb when it comes to accessorising?
I think when you're wearing a big statement necklace, you've got to keep the earrings simple either by not wearing any or just doing a stud. If you're wearing big chandelier earrings, I think you can't have a lot of necklaces on.
