SINGAPORE — Comfort is most integral when it comes to fashion during the Chinese New Year, chimed New York-based supermodels Sui He and Tian Yi.
The beautiful duo are part of H&M’s latest collection in celebration of the Chinese New Year, flaunting the brand’s festive-coloured pieces, such as a red tunic dress and a pair of skinny red trousers, alongside Spring essentials like a shawl collar jacket and an oversized knit top.
“It was an honour to be part of the Chinese New Year campaign for H&M. Chinese New Year is an important festival to the Chinese, and having a chance to be on the campaign means a lot to me,” said Sui.
Q: What do you love most about Chinese New Year?
Sui He: Getting together with (my) family and friends and catching up with them.
Tian Yi: There are so many things that I love, (and they include) the traditions we have. Ever since I was a child, my mum and grandmother would always buy me accessories made from beautiful stones shaped like a little dog or a mini Buddha. According to the traditional Chinese culture, (they signify) happiness, health and good luck.
Q: What are some of your favourite items from this campaign?
Sui He: The red clutch bag, the black blazer, the red skinny trousers and the studded belt. These are great to wear during Chinese New Year and they are so versatile.
Tian Yi: The red sweater and the black skirt. They are stylish and easy to mix and match.
