Prior to her and Prince William’s welcoming dinner at The Istana, Catherine was photographed in a purple wool-silk blended dress from Singapore-born designer Prabal Gurung. This dress, which comes from Prabal Gurung’s Spring 2012 ready-to-wear collection, is an especially memorable fashion choice for Kate as it is the first Prabal Gurung piece she has worn out in public. The 38-year-old designer was so delighted upon seeing photos of Kate in his dress that he spent the whole day raving about his delight over Twitter and Instagram.
