Cute toot skirts and heavily laced dresses don’t necessary mean Japanese fashion.
Just last month, Harujuku held its 17th Tokyo Girls collection runway fashion show which featured the Autumn Winter 2013 collection. This year’s collections hoped to show the world the unique Japanese fashion culture, while keeping the previous theme - “This is THE FASHION FESTA.”
Other than the runway extravaganza, the event also saw a series of live music performances, of which the highlight was a special show by Lady Gaga’s distinguished fashion stylist Nicola Formichetti. This Japan born Italian designer took the stage with his “Tokyo Street Mode Stage” themed showcase and his show saw many stunning Formichetti's collaborations with Japan’s renowned models and celebrities. As compared to the previous Tokyo Girls show, this year’s was particularly star-dazzled!

Firey red lips stood out in the monochrome-designed outfit and the floral printed mini dress was a best match with the leather coat. This look perfectly emphasized femininity without being a tad too sweet.
