The BAFTAs presented a whole bevvy of gorgeous make-up looks. We spoke to celebrity make-up artist Armand Beasley for his favourite looks of the evening and tips on how to recreate them red at home.

Nominee and award favourite, Jennifer Lawrence, looked stunning in Dior Couture and Chopard jewels.  “For me, her make-up was the best I've ever seen it at an awards ceremony,” enthused Armand. “Her brows were kept natural yet the strong smoky eye in greys and blacks created a real impact.”

Saturation of colour is vital to this look; so invest in a good palette of colours - Guerlain, Lancôme and Sheer Cover all do fantastic grey palettes. “To recreate this look, start with the lightest shade at the inner corner of the eye and press out toward the outer edge of the moveable part of the eye. Slowly build up the intensity by using darker shades towards the outer edge also go slightly wider to give a more almond shape to the shadow,” explains Armand. “Line the inside of the eye with a smudge resistant black pencil like Bobbi Brown's Jet Longwear Liner and remember to keep under the eyes as tidy and clean as possible. “ A great application tip is to do the eye make-up first then concealer and foundation afterwards in case any shadow drops upon application. Finish with two coats of mascara and false lashes and keep the lips nude with just a hint of pink gloss.
