Blazer fan Olivia Palermo

Olivia Palermo is obsessed with blazers.

The brunette fashionista says she owns a lot of tailored jackets as they can change an outfit in a second and thinks they're an essential item in any girl's wardrobe.

She said: ''I'm obsessed with blazers! I love tailored pieces and blazers are great - they can be worn with anything and instantly change an outfit. I always try to wear one structured piece.

''I'm also into embellished pieces and gold and copper-toned metallics - although not everyone can pull those off.''

As well as looking stylish on the outside, Olivia also says it's important to invest in good underwear.

She told Closer magazine: ''Underwear is like clothing, you have to feel sexy and confident in it. I wear nude or black lace. I love Intimissimi's NERO collection - it taps into the trend.''

While she resides in America, Olivia is a huge fan of British girls' style.

She said: ''When I think of British girls, I think of a great little skirt and leather jacket. British girls have such an awesome edge. I love the fact that everyone, especially in London, is so expressive through their clothes.''
