Dr. Israr KJ Wong, founder of a new clinic specialising in Korean cosmetic procedures, fills us in on the latest non-invasive procedures available in Singapore
If there’s one conversation topic that never runs out of steam, it’s Korean cosmetic procedures. Not only is the industry booming, but the Koreans have managed to outdo themselves year after year with all types of new-fangled treatments. (Did you know that there’s a procedure that can enhance the shape of your skull? Or that they can give you eyebag implants that make you look younger instead of older?).
The Koreans’ reputation for excellence has become so pervasive, in fact, that countless people fly to Seoul to get touched up. Sensing a need for something a little more accessible, Korean-trained medical aesthetics doctor, Dr. Israr KJ Wong, has teamed up with celebrity hairstylist, Addy Lee and cosmetic consultant Elaine Teo to open a clinic that brings the latest non-invasive treatments from Seoul to Singapore. Previously, Dr. Wong worked at a leading medical aesthetics clinic beside Wheelock Place, and before that, he underwent training in Gangnam, where he felt inspired to bring the Korean practitioners’ expertise to the small, but growing, industry right here.
KAE Clinic Medical Aesthetics, located in Dhoby Ghaut, focuses on non-invasive procedures, such as medical peels, fillers, hair loss treatment, laser peels, and medical facials. And we had the privilege of speaking to Dr. Wong at the clinic’s official opening last week, where he filled us in on the treatments everyone’s talking about in Seoul.
