'Gym rat' Sharon Stone
Sharon Stone is obsessed with exercising and spends hours in the gym lifting weights and working on her core strength.
Sharon Stone is a self-confessed ''gym rat''.
The 55-year-old actress is addicted to exercise and likes nothing more than hitting the treadmill alongside ''regular'' people who aren't afraid to work up a sweat.
Speaking at the 'Lovelace' premiere in New York City, she told Access Hollywood: ''I'm a gym rat. I do all kinds of things. I just joined a regular gym and I like to go where people really work out, and I just get into it.
''I put my headphones on and I get lost in there. I like it.''
The 'Basic Instinct' star - who described herself as ''an athlete'' - says her favourite types of activities are weight lifting and abdominal exercises which test her core strength.
Sharon said: ''I think that one should do all exercises from the core; it's part of the breathing.
''I believe that we don't have to do all kinds of stuff, but that we should be able to lift our own body weight, get through small spaces. I think we should all be able to work with our own body.''
The blonde's admission about her love of exercise comes after she confessed to wanting to retain a natural look, repeatedly shunning offers of facelifts from surgeons in order to age gracefully.
Sharon said: ''Yes, I have come close [to having a facelift] - but frankly, I think that in the art of aging well there's this sexuality to having those imperfections. It's sensual.''
