An explosion of local artistes on the red carpet this year led to some standout sartorial choices and some, well, interesting ones (to say the least)

NOT: Tay Ping Hui

There is just something about black-on-black-on-black that is just so blah. While Chew Chor Meng played with greys, Tay Ping Hui opted for this safe J. Lindeberg suit. While we like the unbuttoned touch of his shirt and the insane shoe shine, there is nothing on this outfit that screams “leading man”. A white-black combo with contrasting collars and snazzy cufflinks would have been much better.
