An explosion of local artistes on the red carpet this year led to some standout sartorial choices and some, well, interesting ones (to say the least)

NOT: Yeo Yann Yann

We hate to say it, but this dress-clutch combo would have worked if it were not on Yeo Yann Yann. Her boyish haircut, square face shape and boxy frame is in no way elegant enough to rock a low-cut dress. This BCBG Max Azria dress has some very confusing lace panels though, which look more like patchwork. Her Bvlgari clutch is gorgeous though, with its bronze clasp and glossy finish.

A belt cinched at her waist would have created a nice figure and shown of her, er, assets but screw that – Yann Yann needs to think along the lines of the Tilda Swinton jumpsuit for her future choices. Throw on a cropped blazer with a nice sheen and a killer crossbody bag hanging from her shoulder and Yann Yann will instantly look like a million bucks.
