Designer Penny Rose’s design for the dashing Captain Jack Sparrow has remained constant throughout the Pirates of the Caribbean series. His 18th-century style costume includes a lightweight silk tweed frock coat, knee-length breeches, a fabric bandana or signature tricorne leather hat, buckled belt and knee-length brown suede boots folded down. The costume is distressed to create the authentic look of having aged and being worn at sea. After the exhibition, the costume will be used for the fifth film.
