Kardashians launch tanning line

Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian have launched a tanning line.

The celebrity sisters - who recently unveiled their own fashion line Kardashian Kollection with Dorothy Perkins, and also have a fragrance and make-up range - have further expanded into the beauty and skincare market with Kardashian Sun Kissed, due in US store Ulta in April.

In an interview with WWD, Kim said: ''I think tanning has really been a way of life for all of us, living in California. Especially, more recently, the need for sunless tan. When I travel, the one thing that makes me feel alive whether or not I have make-up on is a tan, especially in my face.''

The five products - which range in price from $12.99 to $19.99 - are to be used in unison, with consumers applying either a body exfoliating or colour maximising product first, followed by the tan which comes as either a spray or lotion, and finally a tan-extending bronzer.

Kourtney added: ''[We] came up with something that is still good for your skin and healthy for you; everything is paraben- and sulfate-free. We love beauty and fashion, but making sure we're taking care of our bodies is crucial to us.''

Industry insiders estimate the tanning line will top $10 million in revenue in its first year.
