Liz Earle has advised women to plan ahead for the festive season so they can relax and spend time with their families at Christmas.

Liz Earle has advised women to take it easy during this year's Christmas holidays.

The beauty entrepreneur - who founded the Liz Earle Beauty Co. in 1995 - thinks planning ahead is key for the festive season and she will be putting her feet up and relaxing with her family this year.

She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: ''Christmas can be a very stressful time and there always seems to be an endless list of things to buy and do. Try to plan ahead as much as you can so you can spend quality time with friends and family as much as possible.

''Question whether you really need everything on that list - there's bound to be a few things that can get crossed off for sanity's sake.''

The skincare expert hopes her stocking will be filled with products from her own cosmetics line, Liz Earle Colour, which she cites as her ''absolute must-haves''.

Liz joked: ''I'm sorry to sound boring but I really do pretty much only use the cosmetics I helped create! One of the last full-time projects I worked on before the Liz Earle Beauty Co. was acquired by Avon in 2010 was the creation of Liz Earle Colour, so I'm crazily passionate about this cosmetic line.

''I have a few absolute must-haves you'll always find in my make-up bag, including Sheer Skin Tint in 02 Beige, Nude and Twig eyeshadows, creamy Perfect Fix Concealer in Extra Fair, Rose and Nectar Healthy Glow Cream Blushes, Intensifying Lash Mascara Base, Lash Definition Black Mascara and Mallow Lip Gloss.''

The star also revealed her New Year's resolution this year is to be kinder in her everyday life.

Liz quipped to BANG Showbiz: ''Life is tricky - resolving to be a little kinder to yourself and others makes it easier all round.''
