Unless you havebeen hiding under a rock, you'd know that ankle boots are smoking hot right now. Boots make the latest fashion trend and a must-have for every fashionista. They are versatile and comfortable. Not only that, ankle boots are also best for those who don’t have the guts to walk around in thigh high boots (which may look a bit ridiculous in our warm climate).

On the down side, ankle boots can be a tough look to pull off for some women. Pair it with the wrong clothes and it can make your calves look bulky. Here's a tip: Do not pair your boots with pencil skirts and three quarter pants. It will only highlight your calves in an unflattering way.Wearing your ankle boots with cropped leggings or shorter tights is also a big no-no if you have thick calves. It will make your legs look stumpy and make you look short.

To wear ankle boots with skirts, make sure you choose between showing no skin or lots of skin. It is important to remember to never wear skirts that go past the knee with ankle boots. Instead go for really long full skirt or a bubble skirt, short dresses, or cuffed shorts, that ends a couple of inches above your knee or shorter. If you areto shy to bare your legs than slip on some leggings or tights. Just make sure they are not cropped.

You can also pair your ankle boots with rompers, jumpsuits, dressy shorts, and dark denim miniskirts. Slip on some opaque tights that match your ankle boots to give the illusion that you have super long legs.

On the other hand, ankle boots work with just about any kind of pants. BUT, if you’re aiming to tuck your pants into your boots make sure you only do it when you’re wearing super tight pants or skinny jeans, or you might just create a very unflattering balloon effect.

So go on, slip on a pair of sexy ankle boots and hit the road!
