Rihanna launches River Island fashion line
Rihanna unveiled her first fashion collection for River Island during London Fashion Week and the bold line features colourful 1990s inspired garments, daring crop tops and thigh-high splits.
Rihanna unveiled her fashion line for River Island at London Fashion Week.
The 'Stay' singer presented her first collection for the high street chain in a fashion show at the Old Sorting Office in London last night (16.02.13), and made an appearance at the end of the show wearing one of her own designs, a little black dress with spaghetti straps.
The 24-year-old star's collection features 1990s inspired pieces including bright neon separates that reflect her tropical Bajan roots, crop tops, a black gown with a thigh high split, patterned trousers and several denim garments.
The singer-cum-designer previously admitted that her clothing range reflects her own style.
She said: ''In a selfish way, I designed a collection that I could wear.
''The theme throughout the entire collection was easy, laid-back chick, flirty... not very conservative, but I think everyone can wear this line.
''It's not too costumey, it's not too sexy - it's just very simple, very laid-back.''
Model of the moment Cara Delevingne sat front row at the fashion show along with Jourdan Dunn, who features in the campaign for the line.
Other names who attended the launch included Louis Smith, Laura Whitmore, Tyson Beckford, Mollie King and Rochelle Humes.
Rihanna for River Island is in stores nationwide from March 5th.
