Sporty styles

As the Olympics come to an end, we highlight the Games' hits and misses - style-wise, of course

These Olympians may be winners on the sports field, but just how many can score a perfect 10 when it comes to style? Here are our picks of this years' best and worst...

Team Singapore's uniform

We're ecstastic that our table tennis women's team brought back medals in the singles' and team events, but our nation's uniform could really do with a shot of sartorial boost.

Firstly, we should do away with the garish gold buttons that adorn the blazer and replace them with crimson-coloured ones - just like the blazer's.

Secondly, the muddy-coloured pants do not enliven the get-up - it only washes out the athletes' skin tone. Perhaps we could even turn the piece into a monochromatic outfit - which is one of the key fashion trends for this fall. And perhaps get a contrasting hue for the scarves (royal blue, perhaps?), as well as dab on a little colour on the cheeks, and standardise the knots on the guys' ties.
