SINGAPORE — When it comes to make-up, Joanne Peh is a “less is more” kind of gal.
“When you put on less make-up, you allow your natural features to stand out. (But) I would conceal my dark circles, which are something I can’t run away from because of the nature of my job,” she shared.
The 30-year-old MediaCorp actress, who is currently filming the third instalment of the Channel 8 police drama serial C.L.I.F., is also a celebrity spokesperson for Bella Skin Care. So it’s no surprise that keeping her skin at its optimum is an imperative.
“I keep to the basic steps of (cleansing) using Bella Skin Care’s soothing cleanser, soothing toner and Ceramide Cream to moisturise my skin, (before) slapping on Crystal Sunscreen SPF40 in the day. I believe the key is not in how much we put on our face, but how we do it. It is also important to know what your individual skin needs are,” said Peh.
Q: What is your current favourite facial treatment?
A: There are many different treatments catered to different skin needs, so it is important to not be misled into thinking that one type of facial works for everybody. Our skin at different periods will require different attention. Right now, I prefer Derma-Epi Glow Therapy because, recently, I have been spending long hours shooting in air-conditioned environments, so the facial helps replenish the moisture lost, allows my skin to maintain its elasticity and prolongs its youth.
Q: Why is taking care of one’s skin very important?
A: Our skin covers such a huge area of our body! When I have good skin that requires minimal attention, I feel more confident and, when I feel good about how I look, there is a radiance and positive energy that will impact the people around me.
