FASHION CONSCIENCE. In 2011, Levi’s introduced the Water<Less jeans collection, a range that reduces up to 96 per cent of the water used in the finishing process. It’s a step that gives its jeans its different washes from light to dark. With the recent commemoration of World Water Day on March 22, Levi Strauss & Co announced that this collection successfully saved more than 770 million litres of water (the equivalent of 308 Olympic-size swimming pools). If you want to save water, take a tip from them: Wash your jeans once every two weeks. This will help reduce the amount of water required to care for our clothes.
