Lessons in eyebrow grooming that you can glean from the stars

Yikes. Jared Leto showed up at the Gotham Independent Film Awards this week looking like Uncle Fester from The Addams Family, thus demonstrating that even the handsomest faces can be ruined by a pair of  bad (or in this case, non-existent) eyebrows.

No matter how much effort you spend on your skin, makeup, or hair, you can still come out looking freaky or unkempt by neglecting your brows. On the other hand, a pair of perfectly tweezed arches can make your face look younger, slimmer, or simply more distinctive – just ask Jennifer Connelly, whose signature dark brows give her pretty face an extra boost of character.
