There’s a line in Mean Girls where Lindsay Lohan’s character says, “Halloween is the one night a year when girls can dress like a total slut and no other girls can say anything about it.”

But for 987FM’s Rosalyn “Rozz” Lee, Halloween’s the one night a year where she can let her freak flag fly. Like Lindsay’s character Cady, who shows up at a party full of sexy woodland creatures dressed like a zombie bride, Rozz prefers being the ghoul among seas of scantily clad nurses, dominatrices, and Catholic school girls.

For the past five years, Rozz has made it a point to celebrate Halloween by donning the most ridiculous get-ups possible. In 2008, she came as Heath Ledger’s Joker, complete with a gun, a greenish wig, and a grisly smile. In 2009, she dressed up as Gene Simmons from K.I.S.S.. In 2010, she came in her most elaborate guise ever: a red devil with a staff, red body paint, and glued-on horns. In 2011, she came as Zip Face, which effectively robbed her friends of their appetites.

“[Inspiration] usually comes from the depths of my imagination,” Rozz said, while speaking to xinmsn a couple of weeks before Halloween this year. “There are usually dark gothic things in there, and I never veer too far from them.”

Rozz began going out in costume when she was 21, while working in Channel 5’s casting department. That year, she and some of the other staff celebrated Halloween by going out dressed as goths. Her costumes became more and more dramatic as the years went by, until she finally started doing them of her own accord.

Upon joining 987FM, Rozz and former co-host Shan Wee made it a tradition to outdo themselves every Halloween with an elaborate pair of costumes. This year, Rozz showed up at Clarke Quay dressed like the Terminator, complete with a flashing bionic eye.

How exactly did she do it? Click through our gallery to learn more about the process – as well as Rozz’s experience – wearing these elaborate costumes year after year.
