Halloween 2008 marked Rozz’s first foray into Clarke Quay while dressed head-to-toe in a freaky costume. That year, she had the entire costume tailored, down to the little green vest. She approached the MediaCorp makeup unit to do the tear on her mouth, which they applied with wax. In total, the costume cost around $500 – far above Rozz’s usual budget for Halloween costumes.

“When it comes to Halloween costumes, you need to choose either makeup or costume because making costumes is too expensive,” Rozz said. Unlike Shan Wee, who spent most of his money on the costume, Rozz has since elected to focus on makeup and wear her own clothing.
