Her name might not hold the same weight as stalwarts like Joel Robuchon and OSIA's Scott Webster, but Iron Chef America's first and only female Iron Chef Cat Cora can now count these big names as her neighbours. At Resorts World Sentosa, that is. 

What's the buzz: Cora's first foray into Asia sees its home at the world's largest oceanarium S.E.A Aquarium, and will showcase dishes with Mediterranean-Californian influences and an Asian flair from her own Greek-American heritage, and follow her farm-to-table philosophy. In other words, expect "light, simple and healthy dishes, using the freshest produce from around the region". 

Celebrity chef Cat Cora will bring her Mediterranean-Californian influences to the menu at Ocean Restaurant by Cat Cora.

Food and drinks: Like most Western restaurants in Singapore, inclusion of local touches in the menu is inevitable. "Studying the Asian palate, I have incorporated some local elements and ingredients in one of my signature dishes, the Coq Au Vin Asia," explains Cora. "It is a dish that features Lemongrass-Sake Braised Spring Chicken with Roasted Ginger accompanied with Thai Chili and Young Bok Choy.

Other signature creations of Cora include her Sous Vide 48°C King Salmon with caviar (sustainably sourced only -- a restaurant policy), prosecco pear crushed almond, vine tomato jelly and garden cress, as well as the Ocean Restaurant exclusive, a Arctic Char Mandarin with habanero glaze accompanied with Meyer lemon cous cous and micro cilantro.

One of the menu highlights at Ocean Restaurant by Cat Cora is the Sous Vide 48°C King Salmon with sustainable caviar.

Also look forward to: Those who harboured dreams of dining underwater while visiting the Underwater World at Sentosa as a child can now bask in the knowledge that a seat in the 63-seater restaurant alongside the ocean gallery means too, a front-row ticket to witnessing all of the deep sea wildlife swimming about in their watery homes. Measures, including the use of angled mirrors, and custom-made chairs with swivel mechanisms, have also been taken to ensure that no matter where you're seated, you will always have a good view. 

Ocean Restaurant by Cat Cora is open daily for lunch and dinner from 11am-10:30pm (last order at 10pm). From 2 to 7 February, diners can catch the Iron Chef herself at the restaurant where she will offer a specially created 5-course set dinner menu at S$158++.
