What better excuse to feast on some hearty local fare with unique twists than the celebration of our nation’s independence, not to mention all the food promotions that come along with it. We take a look at a few places that are featuring special menus and dishes just for National Day.
STREET 50 Restaurant & Bar at Bay Hotel Singapore
One variation of a local classic at STREET 50 Restaurant & Bar just might be worth the trip down especially since it’s available for a limited time only. The black pepper lobster served at Street 50 definitely had us wanting more after the first bite – with the Caribbean lobster sautéed in butter and wok-fried to perfection in black pepper sauce and finally served with gingko nuts and spinach, we could hardly resist.
Besides the black pepper lobster, dishes such as the lamb rendang that is made of slow-braised lamb shank, as well as the Roulade of Porkloin that is stuffed with wild rice are must-try dishes at Street 50.
The black pepper lobster will only be available until 11 August 2013.
