Stroobant’s next generation of chefs

At Saint Pierre, Emmanuel Stroobant not only makes fine dining accessible to the public, the restaurant is a training ground for dedicated young chefs.

Stroobant’s next generation of chefs

Emmanuel Stroobant is a chef, celebrity and respected yogi. He’s also the man behind more restaurants than you could visit in a week along Sentosa Cove alone, but Saint Pierre is the one closest to his heart.

You might have heard about the exquisite French fine dining that’s priced so accessibly you’ll wonder how they cover their own costs. The story you haven’t heard is that Saint Pierre is Stroobant’s training platform to teach his next generation of chefs.

The food is exquisite, concocted to melt on one’s palette provocatively. The plates are sexy. Stroobant uses fine ingredients like truffles and foie gras to tantalise the taste buds rather than impress the eyes with obscene abundance. We sent our photographer down to see what goes on behind the scenes during set-up and service.
