What is it: Zumba is the latest craze to take the group fitness world by storm and I can see why. It is a Latin American-inspired dance fitness programme that combines easy-to-follow moves with great music. The class will not only get you burning those calories but its party-like atmosphere will get your endorphins flowing. The good thing about Zumba is that you don't need any previous dance experience, and age and gender are irrelevant as the class appeals to so many people.

How many calories you burn: The class uses interval training, which is a mix of fast and slow songs to help you gain the most from your workout, so on average you can expect to burn between 500-800 calories, depending on the intensity of the class and the individual's fitness level.

Body parts it tones: You can expect to work nearly every body part during this class but muscles in the legs, bums and stomachs definitely get the most work.
