What is Hatha yoga? "When yoga came to the Western hemisphere, all asana practice was all called Hatha Yoga and strictly speaking all physical yoga is a form or Hatha," explains Sally. "However, classes that are called Hatha Yoga tend to be in the gentle, slower, tradition."

What are the benefits? The style of each Hatha yoga class will vary but expect emphasis on relaxation, breathing, and working with the body, not against it. Don't expect a strenuous physical workout, but if you're stressed this could be the yoga for you.
