The funnyman waxes lyrical about his love affair with France, and lets off steam about his travel pet peeve – screaming kids on the plane.
The Globe-Trotter: Hossan Leong, 43, Comedian & Host
“I love to travel. It’s like my morning cup of coffee. If I don’t travel, I don’t want to get up and out of my house! Even Johor Bahru counts.”
Perks and Peeves: “I’m a comfort traveller. I can be adventurous, but honey, at 43, I need a hotel with a comfortable bed, a hot bath, clean toilet and a coffee machine in the room. My major peeve is screaming babies on First and Business Class. I didn’t pay all that money to be kept awake throughout the flight by a spoilt two-year-old screaming and running up and down the aisle. Once, there was this mother with a baby and she was using an unoccupied suite in our cabin to change his diapers.”
Flight Pattern: “I’m a firm believer that if one has to travel for work and the flight is more than six hours, it’s gotta be on Business Class. Imagine arriving in a different time zone and having to work upon touchdown. It makes complete sense, doesn’t it? If I’m on holiday, then of course it’s different. But seriously, when I’m travelling for work, the flight is the only solace I get. So if I can afford it, I’ll go Business and get a good rest!”
