Its moniker means “a thousand spices” in Bahasa Indonesia, and this cosy month-old eatery takes over the space vacated by the iconic nasi padang joint, Rendezvous Restaurant (which has moved to The Central in Clarke Quay). Make a trip down to see if this measures up to or surpasses its predecessor. Seribu Sari offers one-dish meals like Nasi Ayam Penyet ($18.80) flattened fried chicken, crackers, fried beancurd and omelette, and also smaller plates for sharing, like Beef Rendang ($9.90) and Oxtail Soup ($8.50). End off with the sinful Chendol Kachang with Durian ($10.90).
