At his first solo gig recently, The Click Five frontman KYLE PATRICK showed that he doesn’t need four guys by his side to charm the crowd. All he needs is his voice, and some Singlish.

Filmed live in front of an intimate studio audience as part of MTV’s new music series, MTV Sessions with Kyle Patrick at Resorts World Sentosa was Kyle’s first gig without his Click Five bandmates. But Kyle is no stranger to our shores. In fact, it’s the American singer-songwriter’s eighth visit here since The Click Five’s last album in 2010. Even then, his nerves were apparent as he kicked off the energetic hour-long show with ‘Follow Your Heart’ followed by ‘Wild Ways’ from his self-titled EP. In our interview with him later, he admitted that it was “definitely nerve-wracking” to perform without the band. “You know these people so well onstage, you can predict what they’re going to do next,” he chimed. “It’s different now, but I actually enjoy not knowing what’s going to happen.”
