Think of this chic bakery as an Awfully Chocolate Version 2. Taking over the space formerly occupied by a traditional coffee roaster, this takeaway bake shop (there are only eight seats) hawks only Chocolate Cake ($4 for a muffin; $48 for a 1kg cake). It took the owner, Matthew Chow, 33, an ex-banker, three years to experiment with his “good old chocolate cake” recipe before he set up shop. Look out for chocolate truffles in the near future.
