It’s the Battle of the Singing Contests! Not the juggernaut it was hyped up to be, The X Factor underwent a little makeover when head-honcho Simon Cowell gave judges/mentors Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger the old heave-ho and replaced them with the more youthful Demi Lovato and Britney Spears. The latter’s erratic behaviour (she’s walked out on an audition and flirted with a contestant) should be a hoot to watch. Over at The Voice, there’re changes, too. To spice things up, the coaches — Adam Levin, Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton and Cee Lo Green — can now ‘steal’ contestants eliminated by other coaches. Wonder if Levine will play nice with Xtina this time?
