FHM Models 2012 Finals
Freelance model Melody Low did not just get the runner-up position, but she also nabbed two subsidiary awards including Miss Curvaceous Body. Getting the second runner-up spot was Serliana Rosida, nicknamed Kitty, who impressed with her sultry moves and come-hither poses.
Melody was shy for the camera and only gave short quips, only to admit after the interview that she is still in shock at being chosen as runner-up. She said, "I'm really happy and I did not think that I will be in the top three. I think that beauty is more important (than brains)."
Kitty told xinmsn that she did not think she would have been chosen to be in the top 3 due to the strong support that Singaporean contestants received and the voting rules which did not let foreigners cast their votes, leaving Kitty's family and friends back in Indonesia in the lurch. However, Kitty is still thankful at the support she has received.
When asked as to what she thinks made the judges choose her, the ever-composed Kitty breaks out into a fit of giggles before saying "I don't know". We posed the same beauty-or-brains question to Kitty and she said, "You need both though. Brains (are) more important but you also need beauty."
Online voting constitutes 50 percent of the final result. The other 50 percent is decided by a panel of judges chosen by FHM Singapore. Even after the win, there are still great plans ahead. For example, last year's winner Lynn Lim announced that she will be taking part in the upcoming Miss Singapore Universe pageant to raucous applause.
