FHM Models 2012 Winner
When you first joined the FHM Models 2012 search, did you expect to win the title at all?
Yes; I came in very focused and competitive.
What does winning this title mean to you?
It’s only the start of soaring to greater heights in the future, in line with my life motto: “Scoring my best in everything I do”.
We heard you went all out to drum up support for yourself and canvass for votes. It obviously worked. Tell us more about your “campaign trail”.
[Laughs] Yes! While juggling my precious time with final exams in the same period, the contest pressure certainly got to me! I knew that some of the other finalists are full-time freelance models or have a relatively free schedule from school; that pressured me further and spurred me on to garner votes in order to keep up. It was very taxing physically and mentally, but I’m glad it paid off. I’d spend a few hours in between revising to send out private Facebook messages to friends and fans, as mass messaging is usually regarded as spam and doesn’t work. I also started tagging along for lunches with friends and got their groups of colleagues to vote for me.
What did you enjoy about joining this competition?
Carrying and wearing the sponsored merchandise, and being able to flaunt them on the runway and in shoots.
