TAG Heuer certainly struck gold when it convinced Leonardo DiCaprio to sign on with the brand in 2009. Putting aside the fact that the award-winning actor and film producer is one of the biggest names in the industry, he’s also an avid environmentalist, who is as vocal as he is passionate about the cause. The 11th Hour, the documentary about global warming which he produced and narrated, was just one of many manifestations of his commitment.
What has all this got to do with a watch brand, you ask? Well, nothing much, except that the association does inevitably generate invaluable brownie points for the brand in the minds of consumers — eco-conscious ones or not.
