Kym Ng had been dating her beau for 16 years, but marriage was never on the cards, until last October. "We never really wanted to have kids while we were dating, so it didn't cross our minds to get married," admits Kym. So what made Mr Yang suddenly decide to pop the question, then? "There wasn't an official proposal," says Kym. "Things simply progressed to the point when we decided to buy an apartment together."
To keep things simple and private, just like the low-key relationship they share, the couple had a no-frills solemnisation overseas. They also had an intimate tea ceremony with their families at their new love-nest.
