In the Midnight Garden
The Watch: Midnight Moon Phase, by Harry Winston.
From Harry Winston’s elegant Midnight Collection comes this stunning addition that transforms the watch’s signature clean dial into a garden of charm and beauty. An engraved tree motif spreads its expansive branches across the dial for a gorgeous tone-on-tone effect. A crescent moon-shaped aperture further adorns the sunray satin-brushed face with its lacquered moon and stars disc, creating an illusion of the night sky peeking through the trees. Diamond and gold-drop indices (spanning from three to nine o’clock) complete the starry romance while slender hour and minute hands put the finishing touches to its sophisticated looks. Also available in a white gold version, there can be no doubt of this timepiece’s charm. Be prepared to lose your heart.
1 — Constellation of Stars
The 39mm case is graced with 91 brilliant-cut diamonds with three larger diamonds (located near the crown) that evoke images of the arches found at the brand’s salon on Fifth Avenue in New York City.
2 — Nature’s Beauty
The tree motif is engraved on the dial before being carefully filled with a rose-hued lacquer.
3 — Keep the Date
Unlike most other watches with a date function, this timepiece has its date window at six o’clock instead of the usual three o’clock position.
Thanks to its quartz movement, this timepiece is only 7.6mm thick. It’s also water-resistant to 30m.
