Red Door, Revisited

The iconic Elizabeth Arden product gets a revamp.

Red Door, Revisited

The Product:

Elizabeth Arden Red Door Aura EDT, $114 for 100ml.

The Scoop:

One of the most iconic fragrances of the 1990s gets a fresh 21st-century update, making a truly radiant scent for urban romantics.

Gateway to Asia

The new Red Door Aura is the result of insights from Asian consumers, most of whom "do not like heavy scents", explains Elizabeth Ardens’ Kathy Widmer. "Elizabeth Arden believed beauty is the birthright of everyone... the Red Door is open for everyone."

Present Perfect

Citing the original Red Door as his primary inspiration, Elizabeth Arden perfumer Carlos Benaim composed Aura with olfactive materials like orange flower and creamy musks for a more modern and softer interpretation.

A New Lightness

"Red Door Aura has the same ‘genes’ as the original but the top note is fresher and fruitier to give it a new spark," Benaim explains.
The floral heart boasts the addition of jasmine for radiance, while the dry-down of warm woods and creamy musk lends a elegance.
