Okay, we’ll be honest. This should never be done the way you see it in movies, where the guy bursts into the church yelling “I OBJECT!” It’s humiliating to the groom, it’s rude, and even if you do get the girl, you’ll never get her parents to like you (unless they really, really, really hated the guy she was going to marry).  Getting someone to break off her wedding is messy enough without asking it of her when she’s already at the altar. Have the foresight and wisdom to confess your love to her – and to put a ring on it – way, way, way before someone else does.
