4. Dating multiple people without committing to any of them

Nowadays, the lines between being attached and being available are pretty blurry. Lots of couples raise eyebrows at their single friends who date two or three people at once without establishing exclusivity with any of them. Why not pick out the one you like the most and just stick with her? Or why not pursue just one person, and get together with her, to begin with?

The thing is, finding love is about being in the right place at the right time. Most of us aren’t lucky enough to just meet somebody we like, who likes us back. It’s a numbers game - we have to do the whole awkward dating thing before meeting the right person. Sometimes we still end up alone even after juggling multiple prospects. But when it comes to a point where us “singles” date lots of people only to dump them (or become friends with benefits) after a few weeks, just to avoid the responsibilities of a relationship, then we can see why couples would question our lifestyle.
