7. Distancing themselves from their coupled-up friends

Getting in a relationship changes your social life as well your love life. Your single friends might say that they’re happy for you, but don’t be surprised if they start to disappear. They’ll be less emotionally available to hear you gush about all the cute things your guy does for you. They’ll start going out with their other single friends more than with you. But doesn’t be discouraged – this is a transitional period and they’re trying to figure how to relate with you now that your life is totally different. If your singleton friend is a true friend, she’ll come around. And to be fair, you’ve been spending a lot of time with your new S.O. too, so she might also be dealing with feelings of loss.
