While pubic hair is intended to protect the genitals, it is also intended to trap and hold ‘sex scents’, more formally known as pheromones, to enhance our partner’s sexual arousal. Indeed, pheromones are sex odours released by our bodies when we are aroused, and these in turn enhance the arousal of our partner when they’re detected.
